Indrid Cold: Grinning man from a distant Earth

No one knows what's out there in the Universe. Intelligent life forms or Galactic Empires, Superpowered aliens or deadly plants. Here's the story of 'Indrid Cold' aka The Grinning Man one such uncertain encountered in human history.

Indrid Cold aka The moth man is a space/ interdimensional creature with Moth like wings. It is also known as the smiling man for its tendency to grin at people when encountered.

Indrid Cold was reported by two boys, Martin Mouse Munov and James Jimmy Yanchitis, in New Jersey. He was then described to be having a human-like appearance with a  Green reflective suit with a black belt. He was over six feet tall and had a dark complexion and small, beady eyes. He also had moth-like wings with which he could fly.

Jimmy nudged me...and said, "Who's that guy standing behind you?" I looked around and there he was...behind that fence. Just standing there. He pivoted around and looked right at us. Then he grinned a big old grin
said Martin Mouse Munov after the incident.

In his second encounter, he was reported wearing a blue reflective suit. "The man smiles at everyone he encounters and then chases them", the locals said.

The mystery started a little early when there were frequent UFO sightings in New Jersey in 1951.
At Fort Monmouth Base,  a radar operator picked up an unknown target. After some time, the crew of a T-33 reported a disc-shaped flying object in the skies.

The Second Sighting

The second sighting of Indrid Cold was much more revealing.
On November 2, 1966, in Parkersburg, West Virginia, a man named Woodrow Derenberger was driving his way home. Suddenly he heard a crash and the next thing he knows, an unidentified flying vehicle appeared and a man came out of it.

He described the vehicle as "an old-fashioned kerosene lamp chimney, flaring at both ends, narrowing down to a small neck and then enlarging in a great bulge in the center."

The grinning man communicated with Derenberger telepathically. The man said his name was Indrid Cold and he meant no harm. The man said that he just wanted to know more about the human race.

Derenberger stated that the man was from planet Lanulos in the galaxy of Genemedes.

Based on this there are a lot of theories on who Indrid Cold really was. Some say that he's an alien, some say that he's just a human gone mad and the others argue that he's a time traveler from the future Earth. At one point, there's also a theory that he's from the Earth of another universe.

Durenberger's Story

A lot of people claimed to see lights and "fluttering vehicles" at the same instant on the road. Several people reported having seen Derenberger to this man and a few others even reported seeing the parked flying vehicle.
Th encounters with Indrid Cold started to increase a lot. He would often visit Derenberger at his house. His wife and children eventually said that they too saw Indrid Cold and some other Strange beings.

There was a time when Derenberger disappeared for almost 6 months. He said that Cold took him to his home planet. Derenberg also used to receive these telepathic messages from Cold. He said that the messages used to come suddenly and leave piercing migraine headaches.

People used to flock to his house all hours to catch a glimpse of his Cold. After these incidents, Derenberger claimed to go to Bogal ridge to meet with Indrid Cold.

Men in Black are also reported to have appeared at his place hoping to find something dangerous. The only thing they found was Derenberger meeting a peculiar man and going with him on a Black Volkswagen.

Third Sighting

His third sighting was very intriguing of all. In West Virginia, Lilly family had been reported abnormal activities in their house such as diamond shaped lights, etc.
One night Lilly's daughter Linda was sleeping, she woke up only to find a tall grinning man standing over her.

It was a man, a big man. Very broad. I couldn't see his face very well, but I could see that he was grinning at me. He walked around the bed and stood right over me. I screamed again and hid under the covers when I looked again he was gone
  said Linda after the incident.

Where Was He Before?

The real question raises here. There was no report of Indrid Cold before 1960, in New Jersey. This started to raise questions on he really was. Some say that he's an alien that came in the UFO observed back in 1951 in Fort Monmouth Base. According to Derenberger, Lanulos was 14.6 light years from Earth in the Ganymede galaxy. It was originally settled by people from Earth who traveled there in space ships but that the knowledge of space travel had been lost for a long time and only more recently rediscovered. Now back in contact with Earth, the Lanulosians can easily pass for human. Some believe that Star children are the cross-gender species of humans and Lanulosians.
"His smile justified his name. It looked cold to a normal eye indeed"

Where Is He Now?

A lot of people say that he still visits West Virginia occasionally. But ever since the death of Derenberger, there is no news about Ingrid Cold. In his third sighting, Linda, the sleeping child reported that he disappeared after she screamed. After this incident, some people argued that he's a ghost. The truth is yet to be known.

As far as we know, he's just a tall, friendly grinning alien.

Exploring the personality

PERSONALITY DISORDERS Modernization also brought a lot of problems with it. And topping the list are the personality disorders. Probably we're familiar with the Borderline Personality Disorder or what is popularly known as BPD and Obsessive compulsive disorder. Personality is elementally the way of thinking or behaving that makes a person different from other people. A personality disorder is a  pattern of behavior which is different from what is normally expected of a person.
